The Healthcare Operational Research (HCOR) special interest group of the Canadian Operational Research Society (CORS) was founded at the 2012 CORS meeting. The group’s purpose is to:

1. Advance the development of operational research in healthcare
2. Disseminate knowledge
3. Increase the viability of healthcare OR in industry and academia
4. Organize a session track at the annual CORS meeting
5. Work together on common projects, such as grant applications
6. Communicate to HCOR members and the broader CORS membership through the listserv and the bulletin
