Forestry SIG sessions at IFORS-CORS 2017

Dear Forestry SIG members,

As you may know, the IFORS-CORS 2017 conference under the theme of “OR/Analytics for a better world” will be held from July 17 to July 21, 2017 in Quebec City, Canada ( As well as being in a very nice location, the conference has great plenary speakers - Egon Balas, Martine Labbe, Alvin Roth and Andres Weintraub - and keynote speakers,, and expectations of lively and diverse sessions.

We would like to continue the momentum from previous years and have several Forestry SIG sessions at the conference. This year, Sophie D’Amours is one of the keynote speakers who will talk about challenges in modelling and optimization of forest sector value chains.

The abstract submission deadline has been extended until Feb. 17, 2017. Please consider submitting your abstracts to the Forestry SIG sessions and circulate the new submission deadline to your colleagues and professional network and encourage them to submit their abstracts before the deadline.
